Piracy will reduce job opportunity and revenue in India

March 20, 2010 By: Kamrul Category: Bollywood

It seems that Indian film and TV industry will have to fight against piracy. Piracy has caused a big threat for this country. If Indian government does not take any necessary steps then in the near future we can see that it will have to struggle hard for survive. Indian film and TV industry has great contribution to its economy. It has created nearly 1.8 million jobs and contributed $6.2 billion to its economy in 2008. According to a report `Economic Contribution of Indian Film and Television Industry’ by PricewaterhouseCoopers, it has been said that the film industry was in fact considerably impacted by online piracy. You should know that Indian film industry could not earn $959 million only for piracy. Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) chairman Dan Glickman said that if industry offers people product at reasonable price in a hassle free manner then people will not steal. In this way piracy will be stopped.

Motion Picture Distributors Association has undertaken a research study among the top ten countries in the world where it is seen that online piracy is high. Most of the people download movies or cinemas through online. Telugu and Tamil films are also most downloaded topics. Not only that but also cam is used to copy the film in theatres. It is the common use of piracy.

However, if piracy is not reduced then many people will loss job and Indian film and TV industry will contribute less amount of money to the Indian economy. No doubt, Indian government will suffer a lot if they failed to stop piracy.

“Love Sex aur Dhokha” will feature sex, nudity and voyeurism in Hindi film

March 19, 2010 By: Kamrul Category: Bollywood

Dibakar Banerjee directed Hindi film “Love Sex aur Dhokha”, which was released today on 19th March 2010 across the world, has aroused interest in Bollywood. Hindi movie lovers should not miss the opportunity to see it in a bog screen as this film talks about sex, nudity and voyeurism. With this film, director Dibakar Banerjee tries hard to shed its traditional conservative image. I think that Dibakar tried to push boundaries and make the new concept of making love acceptable in Indian cinemas which was impossible for nearly 60 years.

From the title of this film, I hope that you can understand that this film will show three things that are common in modern time. “Love Sex aur Dhokha” or “LSD” explores the idea of sex in a small town in northern India, using security cameras and other devices to track the characters of three interlinked stories.

One of the most sensuous parts of this film has caught the attention to the teenage people. It shows one of the female characters goes topless and in a passionate clinch on top of a man.

You will be amazed to hear that this film has more than 13,000 fans on Facebook and its uncensored video have been viewed by more than 150,000 people.

The idea of this film was taken from Steven Soderbergh’s Oscar-nominated 1989 film “Sex, Lies And Videotape”. It is said that LSD will change the concept of making love scene in Bollywood.

However, people below 18 are not allowed to watch this film as it is made based on teenage and adult people. Tagline of this film is “You’re being watched”.

You should know that

I hope that Bollywood directors will make such kind of film to increase awareness about betrayal. At the same time, they will try hard to make morality in the mind of people.

Bad time for Bollywood is coming?

March 12, 2010 By: Kamrul Category: Bollywood

The growing popularity of Indian Premier League is perhaps a bad thing for Hindi movie industry. You may ask me why. The answer is very simple. During the time of 45-day tournament, Bollywood has to pass a tough time. When IPL runs then people lost their interest to see any movie in a big screen. However, it is not strange thing because Indian people are known as cricket crazy. They love cricket more than anything. March is considered as dry time for the film industry because IPL starts in the month of March. In this month no Hindi movie earns low revenue. Even big budget movie has to struggle hard to attract audience in a theatre. Another bad thing for film makers and producers is that for the first time in India IPL matches will be screened in 800 big screens. This decision has come as adding more salt to the wounds. Let us see how film industry exists during that time.

Police have arrested 5 suspected people for Hema Malini’s robbery case

March 10, 2010 By: Kamrul Category: Bollywood

Few days ago, I wrote a news about the robbery from Bollywood actress and politician Hema Malini’s residence, Burglary, in Goregaon East. Robbers steal many things from her house including cash and jewellery which have cash value of Rs. 8 million.

However, the good news is that Mumbai police arrested five people as the suspicion of this robbery case from residential complex, Nensey Colony in Borivli East which is 10 km north of Hema Malini’s residence. According to Joint Police Commissioner, Rakesh Maria, it is revealed that police have recovered around Rs. one million worth of jewellery from the home of one of the accused robbers and Rs.93,000 cash from the others.

Rakesh Maria said:

According to Maria, police had got a tip-off that a gang of robbers was likely to commit a robbery in the area and the sleuths lay in wait for them Monday morning.

Around 10.30 a.m., the gang arrived at a building near the ST Bus Depot and walked into the police trap, he said.

A search of the accused led to the recovery of some weapons.

This gang of robbers was planning to rob in this area for long time. However, they got the chance to rob Hema Malini’s house on Monday morning and they successfully looted jewellery and cash.

I think Hema Malini will be happy to get return her stolen things and give thanks to Indian police for their brave work.
