South Indian Actress Trisha to Debut in Bollywood with Khatta Meetta

South Indian actress Trisha is going to make her Bollywood debut very soon as the actress has been signed for Priyadarshan’s next film Khatta Meetta which also features Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The movie is produced by actor Akshay Kumar himself and reports have it in the media suggesting that it was Akshay Kumar himself who choose Trisha for the female lead role in the movie, after watching some of the South Indian movies starring Trisha.

Well, Akshay Kumar is going to become the latest Bollywood star who is going to launch a South Indian actress in Bollywood. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan introduced Deepika Padukone in his 2007 flick Om Shanti Om before Aamir Khan launching Asin in his 2008 blockbuster Ghajini which is now the highest grossed Bollywood movie, breaking the record set by Om Shanti Om.

Trisha is now very much delighted to have a break into Bollywood and thanked Priyadarshan got giving her the chance. In fact, Priyadarshan brought Trisha to film industry and provided guidance to the actress. Well, no doubt, it would be a big chance for the South Indian actress, but let us see if Trisha can win the hearts of Bollywood moviegoers with her debut film Khatta Meetta in Bollywood.

Amitabh Bachchan Inaugurated IIFA Weekend 2009

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan planted a lotus flower in Macau, China, and thus, inaugurated the 10th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) weekend. IIFA will provide awards to the actors, actresses and artists who excelled in their roles in Bollywood last year. IIFA award has become one of the major award giving ceremonies which is organized on several locations across the world in an attempt to promote Bollywood movies throughout the world. For example, IIFA 2009 is going to take place in Macau, China.

Bollywood cinema has seen extensive growth in the overseas market recently. For example, the foreign box office incomes contributed 5% of the total revenue of Bollywood in 2005, but total contribution of the foreign markets to Bollywood was increased to around 10 percent in 2008. Naturally, Bollywood is potential to grow in foreign markets like China.

Amitabh Bachchan Appears Bald in Pa

Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in bald look in his upcoming movie Pa, directed by R. Balakrishnan who earlier directed Amitabh Bachchan in his critically-acclaimed movie Cheeni Kum. There is no doubt, many Bollywood fans will be surprised by Big B’s strange look with a bald head.

Details about the movie are not available yet, but it has been reported that the movie is based on a child whose growth is much faster than a normal child. The most interesting thing about the movie is the fact that Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of the child with faster growth and will play the son of Abhishek Bachchan, the real life son of Amitabh Bachchan, and Vidya Balan.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is going to reveal a secret very soon on Twitter, one of the popular social networking sites. Well, this was the news posted by a fake Aishwarya Rai who just pretended to be the superstar of Bollywood on Twitter by claming himself/herself Aishwarya.

This should not have been big news, but unfortunately it did because people started believing that it was real Aishwarya who was intended to reveal a secret on Twitter. People started calling the actress to know what the secret she was going to reveal. Aishwarya Rai got surprised to know that someone using her name was going to reveal her secret!

Well, this was nothing but a fun by that fake Aishwarya who just tried create some buzz in the media.

Dispute between Bollywood Producers and Multiplex Owners to be Resolved by 12 June 2009

It is expected that the current standoff between Bollywood producers, distributors and multiplex owners over the revenue sharing will come to an end by June 12. Because of the dispute between two parties, Bollywood did not see any big budget release over the last two months. No doubt, many multiplex owners tried to avoid losses by showing Hollywood films, while low-budget movies featuring lesser known stars made an unsuccessful attempt to grab the market.

Both parties met on a number of occasions over the last two months, but no solution was found yet. However, it has been reported that a number of well-known production houses are ready to release their big budget films on 12 June and it is expected that the current standoff will be ended before June 12. No doubt, it is good news for the Bollywood moviegoers who were missing Bollywood films in the multiplexes for two months.
