Indian actress and professional model, Freida Pinto, is unhappy for not getting any offer from Bollywood filmmaker. The 26-year-old said that she is getting many offer in Hollywood but not in Bollywood. It seems to her a matter of grief despite being an Indian origin actress. She is also giving many interviews to American media. She says,

“I have done no film in India, so it is very hard for people to accept me as an actress. They don’t really know who I am or they probably don’t take me too seriously.”

Freida Pinto has got popularity for her debut film, Slum Dog Millionaire, and got the most prestigious award, Academy Award. The story of this film was made based on Indian slam life. Her beautiful acting could not attract Bollywood film makers. It looks like that he is not popular to Indian movie goers.

Freida Pinto has already acted in many Hollywood films with some big stars like Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banders. She has acted in the films ‘You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger’ and in a political film ‘Miraj’. She will be seen making appearance in ‘Immortals’ and some other films in Hollywood.

On the same day, Indian cricket team will take on Australian in their first game in Super Eight stage. So, naturally India vs Australia T20 match will get all the attention. Imran Khan is one of the busiest actors in Bollywood. In January 2010, he got engaged with his long time girlfriend, Avantika Malik but the engagement took place during Imran Khan’s busy shooting schedule. The next day after his engagement, he flew to New Zealand for shooting. So, Imran Khan has decided to finish all his work and then get married and take a long vacation. He said:

“So, I had a word with Avantika and we spoke to our parents and decided that we won’t marry this year. I will wrap up everything and then concentrate single-mindedly on my wedding. It is a special occasion and I don’t want to think about anything else. I will take a month and a half’s break for my wedding.”

Imran Khan and Avantika Malilk got engaged on January 16, 2010. The ceremony took place at the Malik family farmhouse in Karjat. The couple decided to get married next year after Imran Khan finishes all his work. Some of Imran Khan’s major projects are I Hate Love Stories, Break Ke Baad, Delhi Belly. I Hate Love Stories will be produced by Karan Johar. In this movie, Imran Khan will work with Sonam Kapoor. In Break Ke Baad, he will be paired up with Deepika Padukone. In Delhi Belly Imran Khan will work with his uncle, Aamir Khan.

In I Hate Love Stories, Imran Khan will appear bare chest in some scenes. For this reason, he had to build some muscles. Imran Khan said that he was a bit apprehensive in the beginning. He spent 3-4 months to build his physique. He worked out for six days a week and three hours a day. Imran Khan does not like to go to gym. He did “functional training.” He also controlled his diet and ate steamed fish, brown rice, sweet potatoes and lots of fruits and nuts. He also did weight training.

Both Kites and Housefull are high profile movies. Kites stars Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, and Kangana Ranaut. Housefull stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal. For any big budget movie, the first week is the most important time. In the first week the movie collects lion’s share of its revenue. If the movie becomes popular then it continues doing good business or else it starts lose its position at box office.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is not satisfied with the performance of his club Kolkata Knight Riders in the on going IPL 2010. To encourage his cricket club, he said that he would dance naked if his team wins this year’s IPL title. This statement was blown out of proportion of media. No doubt, it shocked the fans. However, Shah Rukh Khan said that it was just a joke. He wrote on his Twitter page, “Read in some paper that I can be taken to court for my dancing in the buff statement at IPL. When will people develop a sense of humour”.

Despite being a strong club in IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders could not play well in the last two editions. Even their performance in the ongoing tournament is not good. Age is very important factor for both movie stars and cricket players. They start their career early and take retirement after one or half decade. But IPL has shown different things. It is said that this domestic cricket league has made connection between two worlds- Bollywood and IPL.

If you look at the Bollywood, you can see some ageless warriors like- Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, are still doing so well for themselves. Same can be said about cricket players like Sachin Tendulkar, Muralitharan and Adam Gilchrist.

Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan have already crossed 40. At this age, they have been appeared as young as they were in the past. For them, 40 seem to be the new 20.

Sachin Tendulkar, Muralitharan and Adam Gilchrist are 35 plus. But it is very difficult to guess how old they are when they play in IPL. It will be interesting to see how long they can play cricket.

Amitabh Bachchan, who has already turned 60 up, is still a strong actor in Bollywood. He has been leading Hindi film industry for four decades. Now, he is at the pick of his career. He has no plan to take retirement.

However, I am worried thinking about the future condition of Hindi film industry. We can see the shortage of new face in Bollywood. Even producers do not want to take risk by casting new actor. I hope that these ageless actors will introduce more new faces as their successor. Otherwise, Hindi film industry will be destroyed.
