Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja starring second movie “WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE?” is the only big budget movie that has got released few days ago. This movie will be shown on the coming Friday in a big screen. There will be no other movies that can compete with this. It is true that they will have to face less competition with others. As the story of this movie is quite different and simple so, it should be difficult to get much publicity and get the production cost. Multiplex owners may not feel interest to show this movie. However, this movie will find some support from the multiplex audience of Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Last week two big budget movies ‘DIL BOLE HADIPPA’ and ‘WANTED’ got released and did well. It shows that good time of Bollywood has come. So, I hope that WHAT’S YOUR RAASHEE? will go in smooth way.

I earlier posted an entry on Yuvraj Singh’s speculated love relationship with Bollywood actress Raima Sen. Now, while going through the internet; I found another rumored relationship between Bollywood and Cricket, though it is still a rumor. Indian pace bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra are going to star together in a television commercial for Lux. Reports also have it that the two are having telephone conversation and one of their conversation has been leaked to the media. However, the young pacer considers Priyanka as a very good friend.

Not Priyanka Chopra? Apparently, you’ve been close friends.. and talk on the phone for hours.
Priyanka is a very good friend. I wouldn’t ever hide the fact that I like someone. I’m very real. I don’t shy away from speaking the truth. But besides Priyanka, even Kareena Kapoor is a good actress. And of course, Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit.

So whom are you seeing currently?
Turning to big brother Dipu Santhan. Whom am I seeing? No one. I’m single, single, single.. ready to mingle, mingle, mingle.

Have your teammates teased you about the tape of a conversation between Priyanka Chopra and you.. the one that was leaked to the media?

Can you think of a Bollywood movie without a song? Well, whatever you think, the reality is that Bollywood fans are going to see a movie without having any song in it. No, don’t look down upon the director of the movie, because it is none other than Farhan Akhtar, one of the promising directors of the industry. The movie Voice From The Sky will feature Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra in two important roles, but the story of the movie revolves around a child. Farhan Akhtar has not found the child to be features in the lead role of the movie.

Earlier, Farhan Akhtar has directed both Priyaka Chopra and Saif Ali Khan in his movie. Saif was in his 2001 super hit movie Dil Chahta Hai, while Priyanka was in the lead female role of 2006’s super hit Don – The Chase Begins Again. Farhan said that he had been working on the script of Voice From The Sky after making Dil Chahta Hai.

About casting Saif he said, “I thought of Irrfan for the lead. But then Saif seemed a more natural choice. He’s apt for the character. After Dil Chahta Hai, we wanted to work together. We did come close to working together in my sister Zoya’s film. Finally, Voice From The Sky turned out to be the right movie.”
Adding, “I first spoke to Saif about this movie a year ago. At that point of time, he wasn’t clear about whether he’d be able to do it. Then one day, out of the blue, he called me and said he can’t stop thinking about the script. After that we made an effort to accommodate each other. The project will take off at the end of the year.”

He is excited about signing Priyanka as well, “She is hassle-free and, according to me, still has lots of untapped potential. Her role in Voice From The Sky is very different from whatever she has done so far. It’s primarily the story of a little boy. Priyanka and Saif are the two people who come into his life. I’m really looking forward to working with Priyanka and Saif after Don and Dil Chahta Hai.”

Farhan Akhtar will now search for the child to cast in the film. He also added that the on screen chemistry of Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra would make a difference. The story of the movie will take you to a period of time just after telephone started using in daily life.

There was report out in Bollywood arena recently that Pepsi did not renew their endorsement contract with former Miss World and current Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra because Pepsi was interested to sign Deepika Padukone, the rising star of Bollywood. The news created a buzz in the media. However, one of Priyanka’s close friends has recently said that the reason, for which the contract was not renewed, was not Pepsi’s keen interest to sign Deepika Padukone; rather Priyanka did not agree with the amount Pepsi offered for the renewed contract. Pepsi offered the same amount they paid the actress in the previous contract. However, Priyanka disagreed to sign in a new contract with that amount.

Nowrunning reported:

“Priyanka just couldn’t agree with the price that was being offered. The Pepsi people wanted her to work for the same fee again that they paid her earlier. Priyanka wanted to re-negotiate the deal. When the company didn’t budge, she opted out,” the source said.

Well, it is very hard to say which report is true. Deepika Padukone now symbolizes the youth of Bollywood and in the same way, Pepsi is also focusing on promoting Pepsi as a brand for the youth. So, I would not be surprised if Pepsi had any keen interest to sign Deepika Padukone as its new face.

There is report out that Priyanka Chopra has been replaced by Bollywood’s latest craze Deepika Padukone as the brand ambassador of beverage company Pepsi. The former miss world Priyanka signed on a two-year deal with Pepsi. The contract has come to an end recently and Pepsi has been interested to Deepika Padukone in stead of renewing the contract with Priyanka Chopra.

Pepsi has recently made its 2008 campaign public. The new campaign ‘Yeh hai Youngistaan Meri Jaan’ carries the objective of the company to position Pepsi as a brand of youth. Deepika Padukone along with her love bird Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan are expected to work together in order to promote the campaign this year.

Priyanka had featured in a television commercial with Kareena Kapoor, which was directed by Farah Khan. When contacted Pepsi officials refused to comment on the matter. However, in an earlier interview with PTI PepsiCo India Executive Vice-President, M arketing (Cola), Sandeep Singh Arora had said, “from time to time we review the list of stars and depending on situation and who we think is right, we pick and choose.”

Priyanka Chopra may be a bit depressed with what Pepsi did with her, but she has no other option open except to accept the significant presence of the youngster Deepika Padukone. Along with her boy friend Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika could be the best couple a company would find for promoting its campaign. So, it seems that this is the time of Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor to rock the industry until another new craze appears in the tinsel town.

Priyanka Chopra is going to continue her success in Bollywood this year as well. Last year, she was appeared in two blockbuster movies of Bollywood, Krrish and Don. In both the two movies, she was critically acclaimed for her outstanding performance. Now this year one of her first attempts to climb on the mountain, Salaam E Ishq, has already been screened in the cinemas. Priyanka is now shooting for her another interesting movie Love Story 2050 where she will be seen in double role. Indiafm published her recent interview in an article. The article says:

How long will you be in Bikaner and are you wearing the colorful Rajasthani costumes during the shoot?
Abhishek Bachchan and I are here for a month-long schedule of Goldie Behl Drona. It is a fantasy film… like a comic book coming alive. And I am not sporting Rajasthani gear in Drona. The only Rajasthani thing I have done since coming here is visiting Ajmer Sharief.

Last year you were seen in some biggies – Krrish and Don, but it is only this year that your career is getting into a gallop with Salaam-e-Ishq in which you essay the part of an item girl. Have you played the part by instinct or through observation?
I play a girl from a small town with big aspirations but then she ends up getting stuck as an item girl. Director Nikhil Advani had scripted the part very well so it was really easy for me. I have derived lot of portions from several actresses and people I have met. I hope it comes across in the film.

You seem to have hit it off pretty well with Salman Khan, what appeals to you about him as a co-star?
Salman is a fantastic co-star and the hugest star of India. I love the way he lives his life – on his own terms. As a co-star, he takes completely different turns and routes to every scene, he keeps springing surprises at you. You have to be on your toes to keep apace with him. He keeps you creatively challenged and I just love that!

Coming to Rumi Jaffery’s God Tussi Great Ho in which you are paired opposite your challenging hero Salman. You are also sharing the credits with Amitabh Bachchan again after Waqt. What kind of film is that?
It is a funny film and I play a journalist in it. But I don’t have much to do with Mr. Bachchan in the film this time. But Waqt was indeed a big high for me, a huge honour!

Lot is being said about your double role in Harry Baweja’s Love Story 2050, please elaborate.
Presently I am not at liberty to divulge much about the film except that it is a futuristic sci-fi set in 2050. From the rushes I have seen so far, all I can say it is really exciting looking. It will be the first of it’s kind.

Priyanka showed her maturity answering the next question.

Going by your career-graph, soothsayers of the industry have already tipped you as the next numero uno – a position you always aspired for?
Hey, not so soon! Not so fast, please! I Joined films in 2003, I am barely four years old in the industry. I am not a trained actor, I have learnt and acquired acting skills by trial and errors. All I aspire for is that filmmakers will give me good opportunities to showcase my craft.

It seems that Priyanka is in the right track at the moment in order to be a top actress in Bollywood. She wants to learn first then will go for fame. It is nice and smart thinking. Good luck Priyanka!

We know that Lara Croft is an action heroine in the movie named Lara Croft where Angelina Jolie played the title role of the movie. In the movie she was seen playing in some classic action scene. On the other hand, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, former Miss World is also seen playing some dangerous stint in the movie Don last year. However, I think there are some different between Hollywood Lara Croft Angelian Jolie and Bollywood Lara Croft Priyanka Chopra such as:

1. In the movie Lara Croft, Angelina Jolie played the action role where she was aided by Hollywood’s upgraded technology. For Bollywood, I think, they have to go a long way to get it.
   

2. In Hollywood, an actress act in pone or two movies in a year on an average on the other hand, in Bollywood an actress works in 4 to5 movies in a year. So, a Hollywood actress can easily think about a role more precisely than a Bolywood actress.
   

3. The budget of a movie is another factor where Hollywood movies are much ore ahead than that of Bollywood.
   

I do not want to say that in terms of talent and acting skill Priyanka Chopra cannot surpass Angelina Jolie, however, the factors I have discussed above play the significant role. However, the initiative as an actress Priyanka Chopra is taking is really praiseworthy.

Priyanka Chopa’s upcoming movie multi-starrer Saalam-E-Ishq will be something different for the fans of this beauty queen as for the first time Priyanka will be seen as an item girl in a movie. However, the line needs to be explained. Actually she will play one of the leading roles in the movie directed by Nikhil Advni, however, the character she got in the movie is an item girl of film by occupation.

Another interesting news regarding this former Miss World is that she is going to act in double role in the movie Love Story 2050 directed by Harry Baweja. Priyanka will play against Harry’s son Harman Baweja in the movie. The first role is obviously of Harman’s love interest. The second role, Priyanka says, will take the audience by surprise.

Meanwhile, Harry Baweja is paying meticulous attention to Priyanka’s look and styling in the movie. Experts have been hired to design Priyanka’s hair-do, her costumes, make-up and jewellery.

Because the movie is set in the year 2050, a lot of research had to be done to figure out what kind of fashion would people follow more than forty years from now.

‘Love Story 2050’ will also have a small robot as Priyanka’s companion. According to Baweja, people will be more inclined to keep robots rather than animals as their pets in the future.

The robot has been designed by Oscar winning Hollywood expert John Cox.

The movie- Love Story 2050 seems very interesting to me and I think, it can easily make a good amount of hit and can generate a huge profit.
