2009: The beginning of a good year for Bollywood?

December 25, 2008 By: admin Category: Uncategorized

2008 was nothing better than a disaster year for Bollywood. I can not remember the names of even five movies that earned a lot of money in the box office. Most of the movies peformed very badly and it brought only frustration for more and more people and they felt that may be the good time of Bollywood was over. In India, people are obsessed with two things that cricket and Bollywood.

Yes, you are right India is playing very well in cricket these days. India has defeated Australia and England in the last two months at home. So, naturally many people are excited about it but at the same time, Indians can never be away from Bollywood for a long time. So, there is a lot of hope that 2009 will be a bright year for the film industry. There is some reason for this kind of optimism. The main reason is that after Diwali some of the movies are getting decent amount of money. Now, it is the time of recession and you can think that the movies will get less money as most people are reluctant to spend more. However, look at the success of Aamir Khan’s latest movie Ghajini. It has got a very impressive first day income. And many people are now hoping that this will be the beginning a very good year in 2009.

The Story of Lakshmi Tatma: Girl with 8 Limbs

November 06, 2007 By: admin Category: Uncategorized

This world is full of mysteries. We live in the age of science and often we hear the story that nature follows a pattern. Well, may be it is true but sometimes we find a deviation in the pattern among beings. So, it is the story of a girl with 8 Limbs. She is in India and she was born with some extra limbs. It is not her fault but it was her bad luck that she was born in a very poor family.

I can assure you that it is not the story of a Bollywood movie but I think that a Bollywood movie should be made on this story.

It is an amazing tale of a 2 year old called Lakshmi Tatma who and whose parents have experienced so much in life in just two years that many of us cannot have it in one life time.

Aishwarya-Abhishek Marriage Ceremony is Now More Secured?

April 17, 2007 By: admin Category: Uncategorized

The upcoming Aishwary-Abhishek marriage has already created much media attention. Now the latest news is that Bachchan family have arranged 400 security guards besides police. Aside security, Bachchan family is also careful to make this ceremony very private. That is why; they have made a wooden structure outside their house Pratiksha so that no video camera can enter into the ceremony or set to take any pictures of the ceremony. BBC BBC reported:

A temporary wooden structure is being built around the house to ensure that no prying eyes or cameras ruin the private moment for the family.

In addition, up to 400 security guards will be on duty to keep strangers out, says Capt Swarn Salaria, the head of Trig Force Guard Limited.

“It is going to be a very high profile marriage, various dignitaries like very big personalities from the film as well as political world will be there, family friends will also be participating in the marriage, for which we have made all the arrangements to ensure that the flow of people coming in and going out is not disturbed,” Capt Salaria told the BBC.

The Bachchans have also reportedly requested neighbours with views over their bungalow not to allow any cameras or press into their homes.

Despite the secrecy, some details about the preparations are filtering out.

I think such media avoidance of Bachchan family has created more attraction in the media. I hope Ash-Abhi would have a happy conjugal life.

The last World Cup for Anil Kumble

February 25, 2007 By: admin Category: Uncategorized

Indian leg spinner has declared that he will stop himself from IDO match. In his cricket life he has build more record.

DAWN reported:

“It will probably be the last one-day contest for me and it will be challenging. I hope I will be able to play a much bigger role this time,” Kumble said in a TV interview. “The World Cup is a tournament everyone looks up to. The last World Cup was good for India; we played really well as a team. We have a very good chance of winning the World Cup.”

India’s squad for the World Cup has been termed ‘Dad’s army’ and Greg Chappell, the coach, recently admitted that fielding was the biggest concern ahead of the tournament.

Yet, Kumble had a counter: “You can only do what you can as a fielder. We are all safe on the field. I’m not the most athletic. I have been like that ever since I started. I can’t change suddenly and become a Jonty Rhodes. I always put in a 100 per cent. As a unit we have worked hard and we have fielded well,” he stated

In his 17 World Cup Cricket math he got 28 wickets. In the 1996 tournament he was the height wicket-taker.

World cup Cricket: Bangladesh

February 24, 2007 By: admin Category: Uncategorized

Bangladesh will play World Cup Cricket, but this is not wondering news.

But Bangladesh’s best wicket keeper “Khaled Masud” hasn’t got chance in

this world cup. What’s the reason why he hasn’t got chance in the world cup.

Bangladesh’s board manager Faroque told that I admit Masud is the best

Keeper in the Asia but previous match he couldn’t play well. Now a days we

can see that every keeper is also a good batsman. Like Indian’s wicket keeper

M.S.Dhooni, Srilankan’s keeper Sangakara also a good keeper and batsman.

So we need this type of wicket keeper who will be a good keeper and can play

when team be in a trouble like “Dhooni” and “Sangakara”. But my question is

that as Mushfiquir Rahim has got chance in the place of Khaled Masud. But he is so

juniour and have’nt played world cup before. So what type of play we can expect from

him? He can proved himself in his place. We can see a new stat who’s name will be

Mushfiquir Rahim. Because Khaled Masud is the proved well wicket keeper in the asia and so this is really difficult for Mushfiquir to prove himself in the world cup.

Shah Rukh to Start His Assignment in “Kaun Banega Crorepati”

January 18, 2007 By: admin Category: Uncategorized

The famous Indian television show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” (Who Wants to be a Millionaire) is going to be started again very soon with its new presenter bollywod star Shah Rukh Khan. The show became a mega event over the India with the stylish presenter and Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachcan. However, the program was stopped due to the illness of Big B. This time Shah Rukh Khan has been offered the job and he has also accepted the proposal. Now it is million dollar question whether King Khan can continue the success of Amitabh Bachchan. I am quoting some lines regarding this news from a Herald Tribune report:

When I first met Mr. Bachchan I was overwhelmed. I felt I was standing in front of the Lord Almighty,” said Prasenjit Sarkar, who was the last contestant on the previous season of the show and will be the first one when the program’s new season debuts on Monday.

The first episode was filmed recently, and Sarkar said Khan, 41, is an energetic host who instantly puts participants at ease.

“He comes across like a good friend,” Sarkar said in a telephone interview Thursday. “He is a big Bollywood star but he can make friends with a common man.”

I am not sure about the success of King Khan but it is true that both Amitabh and Shah Rukh have already been the legend in Bollywood and there will have a hidden competition between the two stars.
