Sonam Kapoor has bought a brand new Audi car recently by her own money and this makes father Anil Kapoor proud. Anil Kapoor was the first Bollywood actor who bought an Audi car in 1988 and now his actress daughter has done the same. Anil Kapoor and his daughter were present at the launching ceremony of the new Audi car in Delhi.

Well, it is really something that would make any father feel happy for his children, but the question is if Sonam Kapoor will be able to follow her father’s footstep to build a successful career in the industry. Anil Kapoor is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood for many years now and it is something that very few actors could accomplish in the industry. Rumors doing the rounds suggest that Bollywood’s off-screen love bird Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are planning to marry. The actress has said that she is talking to Saif about their marriage. However, Saif Ali Khan thinks that it is not the right time for their marriage as Kareena is going through perhaps the best time of her career. That is why, they are not in a rush for marriage.

Kareena Kapoor was earlier romantically linked with actor Shahid Kapoor, but the couple broke up just before the release of their 2007 hit Jab We Met. Saif, on the other hand, was married to actress Amrita Singh with whom he has two children, but the couple got separated in 2004.

Indian super model Avantika Kapoor is now all set to enter into Bollywood world with a controversial film Mahi Mahi. Directed by Faisal Saif, the movie is based on a love story between a Shiya boy and a Sunni girl. Naturally, the theme of the story is pretty much controversial as the two sects of Muslims are traditional rivals. Avantika Kapoor is also aware of the fact and she has admitted that she is nervous on this regard. However, she is hopeful that the film will be completed and released without any problem.

Now, it seems that another tussle has started as Amitabh Bachchan has come back to small screen after a long time with the Big Boss 3. Big B made a record TV ratings on his come back episode. The first episode of Big Boss 3, which was aired on Color television on 4 October, generated a record TRP of 6.0, surpassing the first episode TRP of Kaun Banega Crorepati 3 in 2007. Shah Rukh Khan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 3 generated a TRP of 5.8 which was so far a record in small screen.

Amitabh Bachchan first made Kaun Banega Crorepati popular and turned his fate with the success of the reality show. Later on, Shah Rukh Khan was also successful as a host of the show. Shah Rukh Khan also found considerable success with Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?. Now, it seems that Amitabh Bachchan is going to be successful with Big Boss 3 too.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, his wife actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and his mother former actress Jaya Bachchan have recently spent an hour at a temple in Khar in the city of Mumbai on Saturday in order to celebrate Durga Puja festival. They also prayed to goddess Durga during their stay. It was the Maha-ashtami of the nine-day festival. Amitabh Bachchan was also seen during the visit the temple.

Durga Puja is the biggest festival for the Hindu Bengalis and it is celebrated with great sanctity among the Bengali people. Here it is noteworthy that yesteryear Bollywood legend Jaya Bachchan is a Bengali.

Hollywood super star Julia Roberts is now in India for shooting purpose. The actress is now busy shooting for Eat, Pray, Love in Pataudi. Now, a number of Bollywood stars are going to arrange a dinner in honor of Julia Roberts in Pataudi. Among the stars are Saif Ali Khan, his lovebird Kareena Kapoor and Saif’s mother and Bollywood’s legendary actress Sharmila Tagore.

It has also been reported that Roberts was requested to help launch a charity in Pataudi. She was earlier involved in a number of programs arranged for world children. So, we can assume that the charity will be for children.

It seems that Bollywood at last has got a hit film as Salman Khan’s Wanted has been doing very well in the box office. Aggressively-promoted, the movie did not disappoint the movie goers both at the single screen and at the multiplexes, though the cut was better at the single screen.

The biggest attraction of the movie is that Salman Khan once again appears in an action role. His dance in the movie also earned applause and it is expected that the movie will continue its good earning in the coming weeks.

However, the Eid festival also helped the excellent performance of the movie in the opening weeks. Normally, the number of movie goers decreases from Monday as the workday starts, but last Monday was Eid festival in India and that is why, it was a government holiday. So, the theaters were almost full even in Monday. Now, let us see if Wanted can perform well in the weeks to come.

South Indian actress Trisha is going to make her Bollywood debut very soon as the actress has been signed for Priyadarshan’s next film Khatta Meetta which also features Bollywood star Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The movie is produced by actor Akshay Kumar himself and reports have it in the media suggesting that it was Akshay Kumar himself who choose Trisha for the female lead role in the movie, after watching some of the South Indian movies starring Trisha.

Well, Akshay Kumar is going to become the latest Bollywood star who is going to launch a South Indian actress in Bollywood. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan introduced Deepika Padukone in his 2007 flick Om Shanti Om before Aamir Khan launching Asin in his 2008 blockbuster Ghajini which is now the highest grossed Bollywood movie, breaking the record set by Om Shanti Om.

Trisha is now very much delighted to have a break into Bollywood and thanked Priyadarshan got giving her the chance. In fact, Priyadarshan brought Trisha to film industry and provided guidance to the actress. Well, no doubt, it would be a big chance for the South Indian actress, but let us see if Trisha can win the hearts of Bollywood moviegoers with her debut film Khatta Meetta in Bollywood.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan planted a lotus flower in Macau, China, and thus, inaugurated the 10th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) weekend. IIFA will provide awards to the actors, actresses and artists who excelled in their roles in Bollywood last year. For example, IIFA 2009 is going to take place in Macau, China.

Bollywood cinema has seen extensive growth in the overseas market recently. For example, the foreign box office incomes contributed 5% of the total revenue of Bollywood in 2005, but total contribution of the foreign markets to Bollywood was increased to around 10 percent in 2008. Naturally, Bollywood is potential to grow in foreign markets like China.
