It is an open secret that there is a rivalry between Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, two mega stars of Bollywood movie industry. Their rivalry ranges from large screen to small screen. Now, it seems that another tussle has started as Amitabh Bachchan has come back to small screen after a long time with the Big Boss 3. Big B made a record TV ratings on his come back episode. The first episode of Big Boss 3, which was aired on Color television on 4 October, generated a record TRP of 6.0, surpassing the first episode TRP of Kaun Banega Crorepati 3 in 2007. Shah Rukh Khan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati 3 generated a TRP of 5.8 which was so far a record in small screen.

Bigg Boss 3′ beat the first-episode ratings of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?’ (TRP of 4) aired last year and ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati-3′ (TRP of 5.8) in 2007.
‘Bigg Boss 3′ also overshadowed the opening TRP of reality shows like ‘Raakhi Ka Swayamvar’ on NDTV Imagine (TRP of 3.7), ‘Aap Ki Kachehri’ anchored by ex-policewoman Kiran Bedi for the second season (TRP of 3.4) and Akshay Kumar-anchored reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi-2′, also on Colors, was at 3.

Amitabh Bachchan first made Kaun Banega Crorepati popular and turned his fate with the success of the reality show. Later on, Shah Rukh Khan was also successful as a host of the show. Shah Rukh Khan also found considerable success with Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?. Now, it seems that Amitabh Bachchan is going to be successful with Big Boss 3 too.

Karan Johar’s recent birthday party seems to have been a platform of reuniting Bollywood foes. First, there was report that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor danced together at the birthday party of director-producer Karan Johar, forgetting their long-standing enmity and two Bollywood divas have now become friends!

Well, the latest reunion is between Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The two presented Bollywood fans with 2002 mega hit Devdas together, but turned into foes when Shah Rukh Khan preferred Rani Mukherjee to Aishwarya for his 2003 home production Chalte Chalte. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan was also involved in a cold war with Aishwarya’s father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and ultimately was not invited to the marriage ceremony of Aishwarya and Abhishek.

Now, it has been reported that Shah Rukh Khan apologized to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan during Karan Johar’s birthday party. Abhishek Bachchan and Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri Khan were also present there. That is all now seems to have brought the two mega stars of Bollywood together once again. Sources also reported that the two couples also danced together later in the party.

You all know about the conflict between two bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Both the actors were involved in a heated conversation during the birthday party of Katrina Kaif last year and that was the start of their feud. Since then, both the actors declined to work with each other.

However, Salman Khan has recently said that he has no problem to work with Shah Rukh Khan. While addressing to media at a press conference of his television show Dus Ka Dam, Salman Khan was asked if he would any problem if Shah Rukh Khan is invited by the show producers to attend the show as a celebrity guest. In reply, Salman Khan said that he would have no problem with that.

In Bollywood everything changes like weather in Britain. It was just couple of months back, when both the actors were not seeing each other’s face, but now, one of them already indicated that the ice is melting down between them.

Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are the two big stars in Bollywood today. Both the stars have huge fan following and they are already considered among the future greats of the industry. However, very often the two make the newspaper headlines for their digging at each other. This time reports have it in the media that Shah Rukh Khan is going to replace Aamir Khan in Farhan Akhtar next project. Farhan first approached Aamir Khan, but the actor, who is known as a perfectionist, for the movie. However, Aamir Khan has asked for a big amount and a share of the revenue of the movie which Farhan could not afford to agree upon. However, Aamir Khan camp claims that it was the script which the actor did not like and that is why, he refused to sign for the movie.

Now, it has been reported that Farhan Akhtar has approached Shah Rukh Khan for the same role in the movie and King Khan might take up the role, knowing that he has finally got a chance to defeat Aamir Khan. So, it seems that the ‘cold war’ between Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan has just been fueled up.

When Shah Rukh Khan joined Bollywood industry following an unsuccessful stint as a television actor, Aamir Khan had already been a big star of Bollywood thanks to some of his all time box office hits like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Dil and Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin. Shah Rukh Khan is now a brand name in Bollywood and has already become one of the mega stars of Bollywood alongside the stars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Shah Rukh Khan has revealed some unknown things of his life in the recently launched book titled Shah Rukh Can which is written by Shah Rukh Khan’s friend Mushtaq Sheikh. The book also reveals that Shah Rukh Khan did not want to be a romantic hero and avoided romantic roles during his early days in the industry. In fact, it was Aditya Chopra who convinced Shah Rukh Khan to take up romantic roles. Shah Rukh Khan has also expressed in the book that he had huge respect for Amitabh Bachchan when he came into Bollywood, and considered him to be the biggest star of Bollywood.

Well, Shah Rukh Khan has not been in good terms with Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Now, let us see if his comments on the book would somehow spark another ‘war of words’.

After writing a biographical book titled Still Reading Khan, writer Mushtaq Shiekh has written another book on Shah Rukh Khan. The new book is named Shah Rukh Can where, the writer says, has tried to portray the journey of a man who has turned a seemingly implausible dream into reality. Mushtaq Shiekh said that he had associated with many actors in his life, and found Shah Rukh Khan’s real life story very interesting which he felt tempted to share with others. This is the reason he has written a second book on the current Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.

Mushtaq Shiekh has said that the first book Still Reading Khan is more of a photographical biography of the actor where the actor’s real life story was told mainly through photographs, while the latest book Shah Rukh Can is a book where everything is revealed through words. Due to use of lots of photographs, the first book which weighs about four kilos costs Rs 2995 which is not affordable for many of Shah Rukh Khan’s younger generation fans. The second book is priced at Rs 399 which is expected to be affordable for the young people including students.

You know that two bollywood stars: Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan- were involved in a heated clash that took place at the birthday party of Katrina Kaif. Now, it seems that the two Khans will come face to face once again in July as Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Dulha Mil Gaya and Salman Khan starrer Wanted are expected to be released on July 3, 2009. Earlier Wanted was scheduled to hit the screen on July 3, but now Viveck Vaswani directed, Dulha Mil Gaya, is also scheduled to hit the screen on July 3, a day before USA’s independence day- meaning a public holyday in USA where Shah Rukh Khan has a big fan following. That is why, director Viveck Vaswani wants to release the film on July 3 so that the film can make some good cash-in on July 4.

Dulha Mil Gaya has not been completed yet, but the director said that it would hit the screen in July as scheduled. Well, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have not been in good terms since their heated bust-up last year. Now, it seems that the two are coming against each other; but this time with their upcoming films. No doubt, Salman and Shah Rukh fans will be keen to see which movie brings out more success in the box office and who between Salman and Shah Rukh become more successful more successful with their upcoming films.

Akshay Kumar has been announced as the highest tax payer among the Bollywood stars. He paid Rs 31 crore tax for his taxable income of Rs. 125-150 crore for the 2008-09 fiscal year. Income Tax Department of India has recently revealed the names of top ten tax payers of Bollywood. The second and the third spots in the list go to Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan respectively.

Shah Rukh Khan paid Rs 30.99 crore tax for his Rs 90.90 crore tax payable income. Aamir Khan secures the third place, while another star Salman Khan clinches the fourth place. The combined total of top ten tax payers of Bollywood for 2008-09 stands at Rs 107 crore, a 17.7 percent increase compared to previous fiscal year’s Rs 90.90 crore. So, it seems that economic recession did not make any big impact on Bollywood stars.

Akshay Kumar has extensive success over the last couple of years, churning out a number of big hits. Naturally, his income has also followed his success. So, I am not surprised to see Akshay Kumar becoming no. 1 tax payer in Bollywood.

You already know that Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini has become a big hit of last year. Directed by Murugadoss, the movie grossed Rs.250 crore, becoming the highest grossed Hindi language movie ever. Having seen extensive success with Ghajini, Murugadoss now wants to work with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. He is now working on a story and has already discussed about the movie with Shah Rukh Khan, but nothing has been finalized yet.

Well, aside from Ghajini and its Tamil version by the same name, Murugadoss directed two more Tamil films Dheena and Ramana and a Telugu movie Stalin. Interestingly, all of his five directorial projects were big hits in the box office. Now, he wants to rope in another mega star of Bollywood for his second Hindi movie and it seems that it could also be another big hit.

Shah Rukh Khan is now undoubtedly the top actor in Bollywood. Even I can not think of any actor who can come near him in celebrity, popularity and in any way. Many people are crazy for him and he is now-a-days perhaps giving more time in cricket with his Kolkata Knight Riders’ in Indian Premier League (IPL) than Bollywood acting. Anyway it is his career and his decision if he wants give time to cricket rather than acting again it is up to him. However, what is perhaps a big shocking to many people is that he has been consistently making enemies in the last few years. Now, in the long list of celebrity enemies, it seems that there is a new name the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly.

The first person that comes to my mind is that Shah Rukh Khan does not have very good relationship with Amitabh Bachchan. I am not sure the reason behind their bad relationship but it seems that both of the two persons want to be the top name in Indian film industry. Yes, Amitabh Bachchan was the top actor for many years but he is much older than Shah Rukh and Shah Rukh feels that it is he who should rule Bollywood. Actually it is not enmity but a personal ego clash. As a result, he does not have very good relationship with Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek Bachchan.

Shah Rukh used to have good relationship with Aishwarya Rai and in the past, he even praised Aishwarya. In fact, Shah Rukh acted with her in Devdas which became a huge success. Despite the fact that Aishwarya is more of a model than actress. However, since Aishwarya got married with Abhishek Bachchan and entered the Bachchan family, things changed a lot. In fact, I remember that Shah Rukh Khan was not even invited in the wedding ceremony and it may have caused some bitter feeling among these two persons.

In the past, Shah Rukh Khan was said to have an alliance with the other two Khans in Bollywood industry Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. I am not sure what his current relationship with Aamir Khan is but it is clear that it is not that good and we can not see them together at all. However, it was thought that he had very good relationship with Salmaan Khan even that had changed. Now, they do not have good relationship and we do not know if it is blame fault of Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan.

The most interesting thing is that recently Shah Rukh Khan got into feud with Sourav Ganguly about the management of Kolkata Knight Riders’. Sourav Ganguly is the captain and he is the most popular figure in whole of Kolkata and in West Bengal. Shah Rukh Khan is perhaps an outsider to this province and I can not understand the reason that he got engaged into this kind of problem with Ganguly. Of course, Ganguly is a person of ego too and we have seen in the past Ganguly entered into feud with some people. So, I am not shocked at this.

I think that it is obvious that Shah Rukh Khan has some blame for making so many high profile celebrities as enemies. However, on the other hand, sometimes it is not his fault either. Well, guess these high profile celebrities in Bollywood and Indian cricket have hardly anything to do except earn a lot of money and then create some scandals and rumors.

I just wish that Bollywood celebrities learn to leave in peace in each other and focus on their own work. They may be very proud and Indian people or even millions of people of South Asian origin outside of India are crazy for them but at the same time they should remember that outside of the South Asian population they are nothing. Hardly anyone in Europe and America know with Shah Rukh Khan except the South Asian people living on those countries. On the other hand, Hollywood celebrities are known to the people of all countries and this is the thing that Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan should target.

Shah Rukh Khan has earned a lot of money and no doubt about that he will continue to earn a lot of money in the coming year but he should focus on making his name more famous to people of other countries instead of getting involved with conflict and personal problem.
